SPRINGFEST IS COMING BACK!!
The Big Day is June 20th, 2009!
This event will be held at Elmley Playground
 We now need volunteers to help with the planning for this event.  If you are interested in helping us with this event please contact us at events@mybeca.org or call us at 410-485-5083.  All are welcome.
 
After enjoying some time with your neighbors you can then head over to the BERRY FESTIVAL at Herring Run Park
Belair Road and Chesterfield Avenue
 
Congratulations to Friends of Elmley Playground  on receiving the grant from Parks and People!!!
We now need volunteers to help with the tree plantings, designing and planting the butterfly garden and installing benches, currently it is preferred if young people participate.  If you are interested in helping us with this project please contact us at beca3412@hotmail.com or
call us at 410-485-5083.  All are welcome.
 
The Good Neighbor Walks will resume on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Instead of meeting at CVS for the walks, the new meeting location will be the Erdman Avenue Shopping Center ( near the library) at 6:00pm. Please spread the word to the neighbors on your block. Come out and support your community. The Good Neighbor Walks will occur every Wednesday. Leave messages regarding the walks at (410) 485-5083.

Belair-Edison Community Association Meetings
Monthly meetings are held at the Herring Run Branch Library, 3801 Erdman Avenue, the first Tuesday of the month (except January and August). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m.  The BECA Board meets at New Life United Methodist Church,  4400 Parkside Drive, every third Monday of the month except for December.

Currently the fee to join the Community Association is $5.00 per year.  All members of the Association receive a community newsletter.

Helping Your Community
There are many ways residents may get involved with the Community Association. Current committees are listed below

We are looking for volunteers to participate in a Community Garden Makeover Project at Belair Road and Shannon Drive at Chesterfield on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 9:00am. If this is something you are interested in doing or know of someone that loves gardening, please leave your contact information at either (410) 485-8422 or (410) 485-5083.
